Hostel 2, one of the glorious hostels of Jorhat Engineering College was established contemporary to the establishment of the college. Initially, the classes were in the dining hall of the hostel. The boarders of the hostel, belonging to different regions of the state lay the stepping stones of their life with perseverance. The hostel facilitates an internet connection and a library containing numerous books for the benefit of the boarders. Besides academics, the boarders are equally apt in sports.
