Q: What are the admission date at JEC for CEE?
Ans. 10th and 11th August 2026.
Q: For Jorhat Engineering College is 2nd counselling the final counselling?
Ans: Yes, it is the final and last counselling.
Q. Why there is no time between seat arnnouncement and physical verification?
Ans. As per AICTE guidelines all admission process must complete within 15th August 2026. Also spot counselling along with upgradation of certain colleges are scheduled on 14th August 2026. So, 2nd counselling must be completed well ahead of 14th August, so that the vacancy data along with different category can be counted and submitted to DTE for above SPOT counselling.
Q: I have freezed my seat at JEC in 1st counselling. Should I attend on 9th and 10th August 2026 final counselling?
Ans: Yes, you have to attend on final counselling and pay all the fees.
Q: I have upgraded my seat in the same college i.e JEC in 1st counselling. Should I attend on 9th and 10th August 2026 final counselling?
Ans: Yes, you have to attend on final counselling and pay all the fees.
Q. I have upgraded my seat to other college in 1st counselling. What shall I do now?
Ans. Wait for declaration of CEE seat allotment in second round. If upgraded to other college, then no need to pay at JEC. You have to visit your allotted college.
Q. How can I claim refund my admission fees?
Ans. For claiming refund, you have to write a letter to the Principal, JEC and mail to refundcee@jecassam.ac.in Also attach the payment receipt, and your bank details.
Q. Is there any time limit for claiming refund?
Ans. Yes, you have to claim your refund immediately after 1st counselling (i.e before 1st August 2026)
Q. Shall I need to submit migration certificate during physical verification?
Ans. Now it is not required. Later you have tp submit to ASTU.
Q. Will there any provision of spot counselling for JEC?
Ans. No, there is no provision of Spot counselling for JEC and AEC.
Q. Will there any upgrade provision after 2nd counselling ?
Ans. No, there willnot be any upgrade option after 2nd Counselling for JEC and AEC.
Q. I have participated in CEE counselling and alloted seat. Can I participate SPOT counselling also?
Ans. Candidates who have taken admission in any one of the seven Govt College during CEE 2026 counselling are not eligible for SPOT counselling.
Q. When will the 1st semester class start at JEC?
Ans. On 12-08-2026 first semester Orientation Program will start. After that classes will start along with induction program.
Q. When shall I get hostel accomodation?
Ans. From 09-08-2026 you can stay at Hostel.
Q. Is the Hostel No. 11 exclusively for 1st year students?
Ans. Yes, it is only for 1st year. No one is allowed to enter without permission from hostel superintendent.
Q. What about Hostel No. 13?
Ans. Hostel 13 is also newly constructed hostel. It is only for MCA, MTech and Lateral B.Tech students.

Ans; 3 feet X 61/2 feet
