SPECIALIZATION : INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL ENGINEERING

Instrumentation and Control is an interdisciplinary area. It caters to the need of Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas & Refinery, Fertilizer, Power, Automobile, Tea, Paper, Textile, Plastic, Agriculture, Dairy, Food processing and Manufacturing industries. It also covers Robotics, MEMS & Nano technology, VLSI technology etc.

The B.E Programme in Instrumentation Engineering under this department is well appreciated and students are accepted by the industries.

This PG programme in Instrumentation and Control will provide an additional value for the graduate students by advance courses and one full year project work.

The syllabus of the programme is designed to prepare the students ready for industries.

The course with an intake of 18 students is approved by the AICTE and affiliated to Dibrugarh University.

Project Area

The Major Project is aimed at training the students to analyze independently on any problem in the field of Control and Automation. The project may be analytical or computational or experimental or combination of them based on the latest developments in area mentioned. Emphasis will be given to deal and tackle the difficulties faced by industries.

Laboratory Facility

Electrical and Instrumentation engineering branch is well equipped with various laboratories related to the courses offered in the programme. At present Instrumentation, Analog & Digital Electronics, Control and Soft Computing Labs under this department are in the process of up gradation under MODROB.
