One day Industrial visit to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC),Borholla
A batch of 3rd semester & 5th semester students of Instrumentation Engineering Department along with faculties visited Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) at Borholla on 15-09-2018. This unit was mainly focusing on the industrial safety, crude oil processing, and function of process control valves. This visit was organized keeping in mind the industrial safety, crude oil processing, and function of process control valves. The students have learnt about this from this visit.

Two day student training program on ‘Programming Paradigm-Important Areas’
The workshop has been organized with an objective to acquaint the students with basic knowledge of Computer Programming in C, Java and Shell scripting and also to motivate them to explore various programming techniques in both object oriented and procedural oriented paradigm way.

Two day Short Term Programme on LabVIEW
LabVIEW is designed almost exclusively extensively for Automation. So the very objective of the programme was to motivate the students about the domain of Instrumentation and provide them the necessary insight on the opportunities in academia and industry and also to give the student knowledge about how to approach Engineering problems using LabVIEW.

One day Industrial visit toTocklai Tea Research Institute, Jorhat
Tocklai Tea Research Institute (TRI), Jorhat isone of the most prestigious and technically advanced research organization in entire North Eastern India. Now a days tea industries are automated with sophisticated equipments and modern control techniques. TRI is a research organizations which continuously carries research in automation of tea industry, therefore to give the students a brief idea about the use of modern monitoring and control equipment used in tea Industry this visit was conducted.

One day Industrial visit to Numaligarh Refinery Limited,Golaghat
A one day industrial visit was organized by the Department of Instrumentation Engineering, Jorhat Engineering College to one of the most prestigious and technically advanced refinery, the Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), Golaghat to give the students an idea about the automation in petrochemical industries.The visit was scheduled on 4th May, 2018. All faculty members, including the HOD and students of the department had joined the visit.

Two day workshop on Advanced MATLAB and its Applications.
Using a simulation rather than a real-world counterpart is a low-cost approach to testing that is an essential part of any sort of scientific or engineering endeavour today. Keeping this in mind this workshop is organized to give the students knowledge about how to use modern tools like MATLAB for simulation of complex engineering problems in different domains.

One day Industrial visit to CSIR- North East Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat
Analytical Instrumentation deals with measurement & control of various physical & chemical properties such as pH, conductivity, density, viscosity, Octane number, flash point, Distillation curve, chemical composition, etc. Therefore to give exposure on applications of Analytical Instruments and research on this area this visit was arranged.
