Internal Hackathon for Selection of Teams for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026

Jorhat Engineering College is going to organize an Internal Hackathon for selecting student teams for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026. Student has to select the problem from the list of SIH 2026 problem statement which is available in https://sih.gov.in/sih2026PS
The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is an initiative of the Government of India aimed at addressing pressing problems faced by Government Departments and private organizations through innovative solutions developed by students.
Date of Internal Hackathon: 10 September 2026 Place : Jorhat Engineering College
Last Date for Registration: 07 September 2026
Eligibility: Students of Jorhat Engineering College
Criteria for Team Formation
- All participants must be students of Jorhat Engineering College. Inter-college/inter-institutional teams are not permitted.
- Students from different branches/disciplines within JEC may form a team.
- Each team must consist of 6 members, including the Team Leader.
- Each team must include at least one female member.
- For the Hardware Edition, multidisciplinary teams are strongly encouraged, with a suitable mix of Mechanical Engineers, Electronics Engineers, Product Designers, Programmers, etc.
- For the Software Edition, which focuses on digital product development, the majority of team members should possess strong programming skills.
Important Instructions
Interested students are requested to form eligible teams and complete the registration within the stipulated time. Only properly constituted teams fulfilling the above criteria will be considered for the Internal Hackathon.
